Media call and book launch of Dear Scotland
Dear Scotland, a dramatic celebration of the written word and visual art directed by Joe Douglas and Catrin Evans, between the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and the National Theatre of Scotland. Luath Press Limited will be present as publishers of the accompanying publication, Dear Scotland, marking this unique collaboration and commission of writers during a momentous year for Scotland.
The Scottish Makar (National Poet of Scotland) Liz Lochhead was present - one of the twenty leading playwrights, authors, poets and screenwriters who have penned short, sharp, five minute monologues, inspired – or provoked by twenty of the collection’s celebrated artworks. Dear Scotland is an after-hours promenade piece of theatre in one of the country's most iconic and beautiful buildings.
